Welcome to the RHN Major Incident Information web page. This page contains the information which will be critical in helping staff in the event of a declared Major Incident.
The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability takes its responsibility for the safety and well-being of patients, relatives, visitors, staff and contractors very seriously. That is why it is mandatory for all staff to be aware of the organisation’s plans in the event of a major incident.
A Major Incident is described as:
‘An event that requires the implementation of special arrangements, and which cannot be managed within routine operational procedures’.
The information on this page will be owned by the RHN Business Continuity Lead, (Director of Service Delivery) and updated by the IT Department. This web page will be the central library for Major Incident information and the intranet versions of these documents are the only ones that are maintained. Any printed copies should therefore be viewed as ‘uncontrolled’ and may not necessarily contain the latest updates and changes.
